Both parties either have their own Attorney or get one assigned from a personal list they have. (Yes, they get paid). Assigned Counsel - What a Joke. They work for the System and never let anyone fool you into thinking they don't.
They put in vouchers to get paid. The ones you see all the time make their living this way.
They are not going to risk pissing of a Judge in the Cause for Justice, or for YOU, not a chance in hell.
These same people switch roles from case to case. Yes, they do. The Law Guardian will be the Law Guardian in one case and the Represent a parent in another.
If you hang out in the Court House long enough YOU WILL see the same faces (these Attorneys) over and over and over. But Who In Their right mind Would want to Hang Around?! :)
Adversarial: Then go Hang out in a Family Court House and You will Want to go Home and Down a Bottle of Tequila! Enough Said.
