Judicial Accountability Initiative Law (JAIL) prepared by Rev. Ronald Branson of J.A.I.L . The thrust of JAIL is to eliminate judicial immunity for malicious, corrupt and lawless judges and make them civilly and criminally liable for judicial misconduct. Given the existence of federal and state statutes prohibiting violation of citizens' constitutional rights, if the proposed legislation is passed,judges who have acted to the contrary will be retroactively liable for their misdeeds. A truly democratic development in the initiative is the provision for the creation of citizens’ grand juries to investigating judicial wrongdoing. J.A.I.L. hopes to put the proposed legislation on the ballot in California in the near future and throughout the United States thereafter.
